What it is

Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, prescribed for conditions including major depressive disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Like other serotonergic medications, it carries a risk of serotonin syndrome when combined with other drugs or supplements that increase serotonin activity.
