Can You Take Copper and Magnesium Together?
Copper's own NIH fact sheet states it is not known to interact with any medications, and no interaction with magnesium is documented.
See the full Copper page and Magnesium page for other reviewed interactions and reference information.
What the interaction means
The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements' copper fact sheet states plainly: "Copper is not known to interact with any medications." Magnesium's own NIH fact sheet does not mention copper.
No documented interaction between Copper and Magnesium was identified in the authoritative sources reviewed. This is not a guarantee that no interaction exists for every dose, formulation, or individual -- it means the sources checked did not document one.
Practical context
Copper's own source gives an explicit negative statement, which is why this is rated higher evidence quality than most other 'no documented interaction identified' pairs.
